As mentioned earlier, Dil Se is a Super Hit Bollywood movie released on 8th July1998. In this film, Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala played the lead role, which was directed by Mani Ratnam. It was the debut for Preity Zinta and A. R. Rahman was the music director of this film. The soundtrack of this movie had sold over 6 Millions in India.

Story of movie 'Dil Se'

Dil Se is a terrorism fiction based film that is very differently portrayed. If the story is told in two lines, Amarkant Verma, The film hero visits the state of Assam on his office work. Unfortunately!, there he finds Meghana, the heroine by accident. As he finds her, he realizes the need to 'love her' and 'get her' for life. 

He starts to pressure her to love him without even knowing what her background is. But she rejects it every time. One day he comes to know that she belongs to a group of terrorists and has arrived in India as a suicide bomber. 

Still, he tries to save her from this mess and get her for lifetime. However, he gets into a lot of trouble with it. At the climax, the story ends with the tragedy of the two dying from a bomb blast.

Dil Se Movie Box Office Record

When the film Dil Se was produced and released, there was no such gain at the box office in India. But overseas, the film looks like a special achievement. The film breaks previous Bollywood records in countries like the United States, United Kingdom and Japan. 

In England, it became the first Indian film to enter the top 10 box office chart. The Dil Se film has made a record of an overseas earnings of £537,930 in the United Kingdom and $975,000 in the United States.

The film won 2 National Film Awards, 6 Filmfare Awards and Netpac Award at Berlin International Film Festival in Germany. The list of Cast and Awards of the movie are as follows.
