Badminton court has been created so that both the singles and doubles games are played. The dimension of badminton court can be listed as follows:

       • The entire dimension of badminton court is 20 feet by 44 feet. The long service lines for singles play and sidelines along these measurements for a double play

       • The short service line is marked 6'6" from the center line of the court.

       • The single side line is marked within 1 1/2 feet from the outer boundary 

       • The long service line for the doubles play is marked within 2 1/2 feet from the Back Boundary Line.

The agency named Badminton World Federation (BWF) was formed in 1934 to govern the sport of badminton globally. The organization hosts the tournament such as All England Championships, Japan Open, Malaysia Open, Denmark Open and Indonesia Open every year.

It also runs the Thomas Cup for Men’s team competition and the Uber Cup for Women’s team competition.

In 1972, the sport was introduced at the Olympic Games; since 1992, it has been transformed into a full-fledged Olympic Sport. Here, the game played in 5 different methods. These include: men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
